Tyrant is a heavy metal band based in Lansing, Michigan, founded in 2012 by brothers Philip and Andrew Winters. What began as a high school project has since evolved into a seasoned and ambitious touring act known for its high-energy performances and unwavering dedication to their craft. Over the years, Tyrant has built a reputation for consistency, intensity, and a work ethic that reflects their deep-rooted passion for heavy music.

The band first gained national attention with their debut album "The Pact" in 2018, leading to widespread radio play—including reaching No. 21 on the NACC Metal Chart and No. 3 on the Metal Contraband Chart—and coverage from prominent outlets such as Metal Injection, Metal Insider, and MetalSucks. Their growing visibility also earned them opening slots for genre legends including Deicide, Metal Church, and Diamond Head, as well as selection for Taco Bell’s ‘Feed the Beat’ artist program.

Tyrant’s latest release, "The Lowest Level", was released on September 30, 2022. The album received praise from all across the global metal underground, amassing over 125,000 streams and further establishing the band as a rising force in the independent metal scene.
 
On May 22nd the band released a new single "Between The Dirt And The Sky". 

The bands third full length album "Emergo" will be rleased on July 17th.
 
Tyrant remains focused on evolving their sound and expanding their reach. With a strong foundation, a clear artistic vision, and a commitment to constant growth, the band continues to push forward—uncompromising and unstoppable.
